I scrapped Austere3D around April 2008 and rewrote it under DirectX 10. Within about three weeks I had it to roughly the same stage.

This is where it all started. Here are some indoor renderings from my first engine, Austere3D.
Austere3D is my first 3D engine and originally started out as an indoors-only engine, but recently I have branched out into terrain rendering. It is being developed with Visual Basic 2008 Express and Managed DirectX.
